JR Cycle Services is owned and run by ex-Singapore national road cyclist, Ho Jun Rong. A member of the OCBC Professional Cycling Team (2009 to 2014), he has competed in multiple UCI-ranked races. Some of his best achievements include wearing the Best Asian Rider jersey for Stage 2 Le Tour De Langkawi 2013, National Champion 2013 in the Individual Time Trials and 3rd Asian at 2014 OCBC Cycle Singapore Professional Criterium.
Having honed his skills working at local bike shops before NS, Jun Rong also dedicated his time as the Team’s part-time bike mechanic, building and servicing bikes for his team. He also attended UBI(U.S.A.) Professional Repair and Shop Operation Course.
Many of us ride for the love of cycling, some take it more seriously than the rest. Jun Rong, for one, dedicated wholeheartedly, most of his youthful years into bike racing. His accolades are well-known to many, amongst all, he was one of the few local riders who were drafted into the OCBC Professional Cycling Team, Singapore’s only professional cycling outfit.

While racing professionally, he was given the opportunity to begin honing his bike servicing and maintaining skills. Having completed the UBI (U.S.A.) Professional Repair and Shop Operation Course and raced across various terrains and countries, it was apparent that a well-maintained, race-ready, yet safe bike was of paramount importance to every rider. Many mechanics focus on quickly getting your bike cleaned up and fixed back, JR, till today, abide by his principle of ensuring ample attention given to not only the overall performance of your bike, but more importantly, the safety standards that should be adhere to.
